Chapitre 87Vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling-stock, and parts and accessories thereof

Le chapitre 87 couvre les véhicules terrestres autres que ferroviaires : voitures, camions, tracteurs, motocycles, cycles, remorques, ainsi que leurs parties. La position se lit sur la conception du véhicule, pas sur l'usage qu'en fera l'acheteur.

La ligne la plus contestée est celle entre le 8703, véhicule principalement conçu pour le transport de personnes, et le 8704, conçu pour le transport de marchandises. Un pick-up ou un fourgon vitré se joue sur des indices matériels : points d'ancrage de sièges, surface de plancher, vitrage, ceintures. Les parties et accessoires relèvent du 8708, à l'exception de celles que la section XVI ou le chapitre 40 réclame.
