Chapitre 39Plastics and articles thereof

Les positions de ce chapitre de l'AHECC, la classification australienne des exportations publiée par l'ABS. Chacune s'ouvre sur les codes qu'elle contient.

Le chapitre 39 est structuré en deux moitiés : les formes primaires — polymères en granulés, poudres, liquides — aux positions 3901 à 3914, puis les demi-produits et ouvrages jusqu'au 3926. Savoir de quelle moitié relève la marchandise règle la plupart des cas.

Le piège est que « en plastique » n'est pas un critère de classement. Un meuble en plastique relève du chapitre 94, un jouet du 95, une chaussure du 64. Et la frontière avec le caoutchouc du chapitre 40 tient à la vulcanisation, pas à la souplesse du produit fini.
