Chapitre 30Pharmaceutical products

Le chapitre 30 couvre les médicaments, le sang humain, les vaccins, les pansements et les articles de pharmacie. La molécule seule ne suffit pas : un principe actif pur relève du chapitre 28 ou 29 tant qu'il n'est pas présenté sous forme de dose ou conditionné pour la vente au détail.

C'est ce basculement qui fait le chapitre. Le 3004 exige une forme de dosage — comprimé, ampoule, dose mesurée — ou un emballage de détail. À l'inverse, un complément alimentaire relève du chapitre 21 et un produit cosmétique du chapitre 33, même lorsqu'ils portent une allégation de santé.
